Early evening scene at the Fourth Street Market

For more than a century, farmers have brought their fresh country produce and displayed it on their stands on Fourth Street, from Locust to Chestnut Street. The brisk trade there is a memory of many old-time citizens. From a drawing by Karl Kae Knecht.
